Youtube is huge these days. It shouldn’t come as a surprise because video hasn’t gotten affordable. Current generation’s cameras and phones are capable of shooting high quality videos. With endless exciting tools such as the GoPro, portable gimbals and drones to play with, we’ve entered the golden era of videography.
However, video was still a novelty only a few years ago.
I bought the first Olympus OM-D camera in 2013 and it came with 1080i recording capability. At the time, it was a bonus rather than a necessity (Funny considering how more consumers today are demanding flat profiles for their videos). I knew little about shooting videos and therefore didn’t shoot a whole lot. Which is a shame, as a medium of recording video offers so much more than stills. While reviewing the various footages from 2013, the visuals and sounds transported me back to the places I’ve visited. Places that bring so much fond memories.
Oh well, at least, there was enough material for a short compilation. Enjoy!
